The first time I met Ellie is when she and Simon were travelling back from Cornwall. We went to the Wellington Pub for a roast and had loads of giggles. I remember seeing how happy they were and we had lots of laughter and energy in that pub. Another funny memory was when you they stayed in Boston Road and we came home after having dinner at about 11PM to have a note put through our door saying the dogs had been barking all night. It caused us a lot of entertainment trying to work out which neighbour it was.
Another thing that made me chuckle to myself was when I was randomly telling everyone that a German airport had ‘llama experiences’ to try and calm nervous flyers only for Ellie to look it up and tell me that it was an April Fools. As I had watched the video on April 1st!! HAHA!
But of course, the wedding is what sticks out in my head. The drama of the snow but more importantly how they were so happy and content, that the weather had no impact on the love they shared. Ellie looked beautiful and of course, I don't think I'll ever be at another wedding where the bride walks down the aisle with her dogs!!
Lastly, during the fancy Chelsea wedding, I remember we were eating dinner at the top table in the venue and out of nowhere suddenly Ellie shouted' “CUNT!” at the top of her voice which took us all by surprise with me pissing myself in the corner, purely for the reaction on the mums’ faces!!! Haha!!!
