Ellie always loved animals. Andy, Laura and Ellie would come to West Wales for holidays with William and Jenny and we all had fun on the beach and outdoors here. We had a dog, a cat, chickens and, at one time several guinea pigs. These guinea pigs lived in a hutch with a metre-high fenced run, in the garden.
One morning Ellie was up and out early, then came running in to tell us that “the guinea pigs had jumped over the fence and disappeared”. Well, she had obviously picked them up to play with them, and they had wriggled out of her hands and scuttled off under the hedge.
We managed to retrieve them all!
