Ellie was a real force of nature. If you were lucky enough to be someone she called a friend then you were always in a place of warm, genuine love. She was a fierce, protective friend who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She ALWAYS had a laugh or joke on the tip of her tongue but never at your expense. Even if she was having a really bad day or feeling unwell, she always had a smile on her face and a kind word in her mouth. The definition of a true hero.
Ellie was a super fun person to work with. We were always where we shouldn’t be either giggling at something silly or absolutely howling with laughter because we thought we were so hilarious. She was so in love with Simon, her dogs and life in general and she was never afraid to express that. She was so full of love, life and optimism. Working with animals can be so emotionally draining but she always made a point of treating each and every pet that she crossed paths with as if they were her own and the best pet she had ever met.
It’s so rare to meet someone who is so genuine and beautiful inside and out. I’m so proud to have called Ellie my friend. I miss her so very much. I hope Heaven knows they have one hell of a woman on their hands now.
Rest easy sweets xXx
