She was an amazing friend and I still fondly remember when I first meet her walking in Greenwich park while she was walking and trying to train a newly adopted, lively Dizzy.
Actually, the way that Ellie persevered with Dizzy, loved her and never gave up on her, was how I remember her being in the other parts of her life. I guess in a way Ellie had gone through so much that she knew that giving up on someone she cared for was not an option.
Ellie started her dog walking business after joining me on various walks (I was a dog walker too) and you could see her passion for dogs and the joy she got from being in nature. Dizzy gave that to her, so in a way they both saved each other.
Ellie was always upbeat, smiley and a lovely person to be around no matter what the circumstances were. Her “adult” sense of humour always made my husband and I laugh until it hurt.
We will miss her very much.
